Forward Slope, Inc. has an exciting opportunity for a Cyber Security Engineer III. This is a full-time position located in San Diego, California with a hybrid schedule option under our Software Solutions group. Ideal candidate for this position will be required to be onsite in San Diego, as needed.
This position has the option to work a 9/80 schedule, which is a compressed work schedule, with alternate Fridays off.
Job Description:
Forward Slope, Inc. is seeking a Cyber Security Engineer III to provide Risk Management Framework (RMF) assessment and authorization (A&A) support for its Navy-focused software solutions. Day-to-day efforts include working with highly-talented professionals and subject matter experts to design, implement, and monitor cyber security and information assurance policies for mission-critical software systems used by US Navy warfighters.
Required qualifications:
- Currently hold an active Secret clearance
- Experience with implementing and supporting cybersecurity standards to include NIST and Risk Management Framework (RMF) Assessment and Authorization (A&A) standards as identified by NIST SP 800-37 and associated documentation.
- 5+ year Department of Navy (DoN) accreditation experience related to:
- Developing system IA documentation to support RMF accreditation through the Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS), such as:
- System Categorization Forms
- Security Plans
- Hardware/Software/Information Flow Diagrams
- Security Assessment Plans (SAP)
- System Level Continuous Monitoring Plans
- Risk Assessment Reports and Plan of Action and Milestones (POAM)
- Supporting successful accreditations: ATO (Initial and Reauthorizations) and Interim Authorization to Test (IATT)
- Working with systems owners, government managers, and other stakeholders to manage cybersecurity requirements.
- Developing system IA documentation to support RMF accreditation through the Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS), such as:
Desired qualifications:
- Experience as a Navy Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO)
- Cyber Security Workforce (CSWF) Information Assurance Manager (IAM) Level 3 Certified
- Certified as a Navy Qualified Validator (NQV)
