Forward Slope, currently has an opening for a Jr. Financial Analyst to join our team. This position is located in San Diego, CA.

Job Description:

The candidate for this position will provide Financial Management Support for the Department of Defense. Duties will include but are not limited to the following:

• Primary responsibility for execution of financial documents within Navy ERP, including preparation of initial/amendment funding documents and tracking of their progress through acceptance
• Creation of budget structures and allocation of available funds within Navy ERP, as well as creation and downloading of financial reports from the system
• Maintenance of Excel spend plan execution spreadsheets with timely and accurate data reflecting allocated costs, commitments, obligations, expenditures, and performance vs. benchmarks
• Tasking support to ensure any assigned financial/program drill tasking and any other concerns or challenges are addressed and completed in a timely manner
• Research and analysis of discrepancies to determine root causes and recommend corrective actions

Required Qualifications:

• Strong Navy ERP platform experience
• Two (2) or more years of experience in Department of Navy financial management
• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related area
• Proficiency with software tools such as Microsoft Excel, Power Point, Word and Outlook
• Ability to prioritize and work in a fast paced environment with multi-tasking skills
• Excellent analytical skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Professional, friendly and customer service oriented

Other Requirements:

• Candidate must have an active Security Clearance at the Secret level
