Forward Slope (FSI) currently has an opening for a Shipping Clerk to join our team. This position is located in San Diego, CA with daily on-site requirements.

Job Description:

The Shipping Clerk provides warehouse and logistical support for Meteorological and Oceanographic (METOC) systems which include the Naval Integrated Tactical Environmental System – Next Generation (NITES-NEXT), Naval Integrated Tactical Environmental System – IV (NITES-IV), Meteorological Mobile Facility (Replacement) Next Generation (METMF(R) NEXGEN), and Hazardous Weather Detection and Display Capability (HWDDC).

Key Responsibilities:

• Currently hold an active U.S. security clearance or be able to obtain one
• Prepare shipments for delivery to installation sites
• Receive and process project materials
• Assist with Defense Reutilization Management Office (DRMO) for project materials
• Aid in the upkeep and service of Gov’t vehicles
• Assist with the inventory of project materials located within the warehouse
• Safe operation of the forklift and pallet jack
• Conduct and maintain onsite cleanliness and organization
• Delivery of mail to appropriate personnel/locations

Required Qualifications:

• Forklift Certification

Desired Qualifications:

• Prior warehouse/logistics experience
• Can lift heavy objects (up to 40 Lbs)

Hourly Range:

• $27.00 - $28.85 per hour*
