Forward Slope currently has a full-time position for an Engineering Tech IV to join our Global Security and Engineering Solutions Team. This position is located in Charleston, SC.

Job Description:

  • Utilize practical experience in C4ISR (Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance) Systems to contribute to the design, development, and implementation of system solutions.
  • Apply experience in the installation of C4ISR equipment, ensuring proper setup, configuration, and integration into existing infrastructure while adhering to industry standards and best practices.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in the design, preparation, and modification of engineering documents and drawings related to C4ISR systems, leveraging two (2) years of experience in this capacity to support project requirements and documentation needs.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to assess operational requirements, develop system designs, and generate engineering documents that capture technical specifications, configurations, and deployment plans.
  • Leverage experience within the C4ISR discipline to provide subject matter expertise and technical support across various project phases, including requirements analysis, design, testing, and implementation.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant standards, regulations, and guidelines governing the design, installation, and operation of C4ISR systems, mitigating risks and ensuring system integrity and security.
  • Utilize knowledge and experience gained from recent C4ISR work to inform decision-making, identify emerging trends, and implement best practices in system design and integration.
  • Support system testing and evaluation activities, including test plan development, execution oversight, and results analysis, to validate system performance, reliability, and compliance with specified requirements.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior staff members, sharing expertise and insights to foster their professional development and enhance team capabilities within the organization.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, including end-users, project managers, and external partners, to understand operational needs, address technical challenges, and deliver effective C4ISR solutions that meet or exceed expectations.
  • Stay informed about advancements in C4ISR technologies, methodologies, and industry trends, actively participating in professional development activities, training sessions, and knowledge-sharing forums.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation, including engineering drawings, technical specifications, installation guides, and configuration management records, to support project documentation requirements and compliance efforts.

Note: The duties and responsibilities outlined above are indicative and may evolve based on project requirements, organizational priorities, and individual capabilities. The Engineering Tech IV is expected to demonstrate initiative, adaptability, and a commitment to excellence in supporting C4ISR initiatives and objectives.

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Associate degree in engineering technology, Science, Information Systems or Accredited Electronics Certification.
  • Twelve (12) years of practical experience in C4ISR Systems.
  • Six (6) years of experience, to include:
    • installation of such equipment.
  •  Two (2) years of experience, to include:
    •  design, preparation and modification of engineering documents, and drawings.
  •  Six (6) years of experience in C4ISR discipline, of which 3 must have been performed within the last 5 years. 
  • Overseas travel may be required. 

 

Other Requirements:

  • DOD contracts specify US Citizens. Candidate must have an active Security Clearance at the SECRET level.

 

*Salary Range: $75,000 - $110,000
