Forward Slope Inc. is seeking a Software Engineer to support a department of the Navy, Naval Information Warfare Systems Command's (NAVWAR) requirement with the Battlespace Awareness and Information Operations program office. 

This position is hybrid and the candidate will be required to be onsite, as needed. Typically, on-site work will be 2 days per week. 

This position can be located in the following locations: Sterling/Chantilly, VA; Austin, TX; Sarasota, FL.


Job Description:

Forward Slope Inc. is seeking a Software Engineer with a self-starter attitude to support a Naval Information Warfare Systems Command (NAVWAR) requirement with the Battlespace Awareness and Information Operations program office.

Required Qualifications:

  • Currently hold an active U.S. security clearance or be able to obtain one.
  • Over 8 years of demonstrated full-stack software development experience with:
    • Object-oriented programming (i.e., Java, Python)
    • Linux operating systems (i.e., RHEL)
  • Experience with Agile software development
  • Experience with enterprise software architecture
  • Previous experience functioning in a Team Lead capacity

 

Desired Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or physics
  • Software engineering experience with:
    • UI development with modern web technologies (i.e., Node.js, Angular, React)
    • Containerization and orchestration technologies (i.e., Docker, Kubernetes)
    • Database design (i.e., PostgreSQL, MongoDB)
    • Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) and web services (i.e., REST, AJAX, JSON)
    • Source Code Management (i.e., Git)
    • CI/CD automation tools (i.e., Jenkins, Tekton)
    • Automated testing (i.e., Cypress, Selenium)
    • Static Application Security Testing (i.e., SonarQube, Coverity)
  • CompTIA Security+ Certification 


*Salary Range: $140,000 - $180,000 per year
