Description
Forward Slope, Inc., currently has an opening for an Installation Engineer to join our team. The position is located in San Diego, CA.
Job Description
- Primarily serve as site lead for Syun An installations
- Initial efforts will be primarily installing commercial GPS and integrating with existing equipment
- Coordinate and provide guidance to local national installation personnel
- Prior to installations, conduct site surveys to develop local site design (e.g. cabling, required fiber runs, integration of GPS to existing equipment, etc.), and work on site preparations prior to installation
- Develop installation plans and installation design / interconnection drawings in Visio (or similar SW)
- Experience with both hardware and software installation required
- Experience with GPS, antennas, networking equipment, tactical data links, C2 servers and clients highly desired
- Experience with radars, EO/IR cameras, AIS, and common operational picture (COP) systems desired
- Proficient with AutoCAD
- San Diego-based position but with frequent international travel (up to 80% - primarily to Taiwan); must be willing to travel to remote, austere locations worldwide
Other Requirements
- Must possess a current and active Security Clearance at the secret level or above
