Description
Forward Slope has an open position for a full-time Sr. Program Manager to join our Professional Services team. The position is located in San Diego, California.
Job Description:
Oversee direction, training, mentoring and management of project staff. Track and report on team progress and determine key milestones. Track program cost, manage staffing and successful performance of team members. Develop timelines for program, manage the implementation, coordination and reporting for programs/contracts. Provide overall direction of program activities. Consult with the customer to ensure conformity to contractual obligations, establish and maintain technical and financial reports to show progress of projects to management and customers. People management tasks include hire, mentor, advise, and promote employees, assign and evaluate work, review performance annually, and set pay. Identify business development opportunities both for incremental growth on existing contracts and new contract opportunities. Work with the business development team to position the company for growth opportunities in other geographical areas.
Required Qualifications:
- At least 10 years of progressive experience managing DoD technical projects, preferably software/engineering projects
- At least five years of experience supporting the NAVWAR / PEO C4I organization
- At least five years of experience writing and leading government proposal efforts
- At least five years of DoD business development and capture management experience
- Bachelor’s degree in business management, finance, accounting, engineering, or related is required
- Master’s degree in business administration or engineering is desired
- Project Management Professional (PMP) is desired
Other Requirements:
- Must have a current and active Secret security clearance.
