Description
Forward Slope currently has an opening for a Sr. Software Engineer to join our team. This position is located in San Diego, CA.
Job Description:
This position supports the METOC ISEA NITES-Next program.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or higher degree in Computer Science or related field.
- IAWF IAT Level I (level II desired).
- Five (5) years of experience in the design, development and integration of commercial or Government developed software.
- Strong background in the following areas: software design and development, coding, and testing of major software systems. Working knowledge of Unix a plus.
- In-depth knowledge of DoD software systems, database management, and meteorology and oceanography software systems and applications is desired.
Desired Qualifications:
- METOC ISEA and NITES-Next software/engineering experience strongly preferred.
Other Requirements:
- Must possess a current Security Clearance at the secret level.
