Forward Slope Inc., currently has an opening for a C2 Fielded System Administrator to join our team. The position is located in Honolulu Hawaii.

Job Description:

Forward Slope is the prime contractor for support, systems engineering, software engineering, and system administration of the Maritime Tactical Command and Control (MTC2) Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) operational system. Forward Slope provides on-site support at US Pacific Fleet (PACFLT) in Honolulu, HI and provides administrative support to operationally deployed systems at PACFLT. The scope of work includes supporting daily operation of MTC2 SOA, supporting Information Assurance activities, administering Linux virtual machines, and conducting troubleshooting to maintain system stability. The candidate must be able to work on site at PACFLT and must have familiarity with SOA deployment topologies, Java-based application servers, proxy architectures, relational databases, messaging busses, and data driven software systems. Experience configuring the Global Command and Control System-Maritime (GCCS-M) is desired. The candidate will need to provide on-call support as required.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science degree and 5 years of system administration experience for DoD systems; or 10 years of relevant experience specific to the required and desired qualifications identified in this requisition

• Depth of experience administering Red Hat Enterprise Linux virtual machines and hypervisor-managed resources

• Experience with writing and running Linux/UNIX scripts to automate administrative tasks

• Ability to research, evaluate, and recommend solutions and technologies based on customer needs

• Experience with Java EE, JBoss Enterprise Application Platform (EAP), and web application deployment and configuration strategies

• Currently holding or ability to obtain an IAT Level II Certification (Linux)

Desired Qualifications:

• Knowledge of MTC2 SOA, MTC2, and external data providers (e.g. MFOM, ENMS, DRSS-N)

• Knowledge of Intellex complex event processing (CEP) installation, configuration, and administration

• Experience with Apache HTTPD, ActiveMQ, RedHat MRG/Qpid

• Experience with VMWare VSphere Client

• Experience with basic PostgreSQL database management

• Experience with DoD Information Assurance Security Technical Implementation Guideline (STIG) evaluation, mitigation, and documentation

• Experience applying Information Assurance Vulnerability Alert (IAVA) software patches to operational systems operating at the GENSER SECRET level

• Experience with systems integration and complex system analysis

• Experience participating in Navy tactical exercises and experiments (e.g. Trident Warrior)

• Experience administering and configuring GCCS-M

• Experience using OpenAM to perform Identity and Access Management (IdAM)

   

Other Requirements:

• Must have a current and active Secret clearance; active SCI clearance a plus
